Food Bank Drive

by Laureen Espinoza

As the New Year unfolds, many of us find ourselves in the post-Christmas organization, decluttering our homes and making space for a fresh start. Whether you're considering selling your home this spring or simply tidying up after the holiday season, there's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community.

A fantastic way to give back while getting organized is by participating in a local food bank drive.  The winter months can be particularly challenging for families in need, and donations often dwindle after the holiday rush. By contributing non-perishable items, you can help ensure that your neighbours have access to nutritious meals during these colder months.

So as you sort through your pantry and clear out those post-Christmas excesses, please consider setting aside some items for donation. Your small act of kindness can make a significant difference in someone's life and enhance the spirit of generosity within your community. Whether you're preparing to sell or simply organizing for the new year, participating in a food bank drive is a wonderful way to contribute positively to both your home and your neighbourhood.

Myself and a YEGPro Team member will be volunteering at the Food Bank on February 7th, and we would love nothing more than to show up with a truckload of generous community donations. Please reach out if you would like to leave a bag/box out on your front step for us to pick up and deliver.

It's that simple!
